The Beauty of the Ordinary, Painted Honestly
I paint what we often overlook — the quiet poetry of the everyday.
I’m James Zamora, and my work explores the beauty found in familiar moments: shelves of color in grocery aisles, the shape of light on an ordinary object, or the tension between realism and abstraction. Each painting is an attempt to slow time — to hold something small and say, this mattered.
Working across both representational and painterly approaches, I build each piece with care and attention. My paintings are held in private collections nationally and internationally, and I release new works seasonally.
Original paintings are available for collectors. Select commissions are welcomed.
